Such beautiful photos! In our area, it is quaking aspen that turn bright yellow in fall. I would like to see a quaking aspen and a larch side by side for comparison. It is fascinating to see the larches change color so fast in your photos.

Those are great shots. Isn’t Steward impressive from there? My buddy nearly got pushed off that mountain by a goat one time. Really Iove that area … when there are fewer people.

Thank you! yeah i felt it looming over us the whole time, so powerful. and definitely a lot of people, the leaving the trailhead by car was absolute chaos haha

thank you! yeah they aren’t found in too many places - I think Colorado, WA, Idaho, and into Canada…maybe a few other places here and there too. But they are stunningly beautiful.
