you can probably find some from a brand called La Venenosa at a decently sized liquor store. alternatively I have a pretty healthy mezcal collection (all different types of wild agaves) and just brought a bottle of the raicilla back. So there's a standing invitation 👀

One of my favorite travel memories (though I loathed it at the time) was a "bus" trip (actually a large, unmarked van) to visit the ruins of Olympos near the southern coast. No one spoke English, I spoke no Turkish, and I got dropped off on the side of a mountain at a little shack with chickens. Finally another van came and picked me up from there and took me to Olympos. It was pretty fun except for my anxiety that I was probably lost in a foreign country and no one could understand me

hahah that sounds amazing and definitely one of those moments that is stressful when you're in it but in hindsight - what an adventure!
Do you think in a blind taste test you could tell tequila, mezcal, and raicilla all apart? 🤔
