Enjoy your trip to England – I don't know the North York Moors too well as I'm from further north in Northumberland. But try to get to Whitby if you can – it's an interesting town full of history, and the fish and chips at The Magpie were so good.
It’s a while ago now but I seem to remember they offered some interesting fish choices beyond the typical cod or haddock. The mackerel was delicious. But you can’t go wrong.
First of all, excited to hear you’re adventuring again. Please post on insta, as this is how I vicariously live to travel when I’m no longer. We always enjoy your pics and stories. Next, your cabin pics just prove I’m once again missing out living closer to the east coast. And YES, I 100% agree with the QR codes. They even used them in Vancouver 😫 Last, cool “pants” but make sure they fit you pack them (2016?!) … how’s THAT for giving you packing tips back 😂
haha admittedly Insta hasn't had much love lately. I wasn't sure how much of my stuff was actually getting out there, so I figured I'd double down on the writing/newsletter. But you're right, I should get back over there, maybe it's time!
And I'm just really hoping the walk through England will make the lederhosen less snug 😂
10 days of walking, plus a day or two of travel (flying out of London). They're going through a group that sets up your accommodations and shuttles your bags, so they only have to carry daypacks. Everyone has bad joints, so hoping it's not too much for them!
Glad you have adopted the Lake. It looks like you are worthy LOL! You got some great pictures with the sweet late afternoon light, and looks like a good morning one, too. So bummed we couldn't join you guys. Hope you can see the lake sometime in late fall, cause it is a very interesting landscape with the water drained away, and it is a diverse landscape for hiking in the lake bed.

Thanks! We're walking through Whitby actually so The Magpie will definitely have to happen.

Your trip sounds fantastic! My husband and his sibs are walking across the Lake District in a few weeks. Sharing your gear list with him.
Oh awesome! That’s one of the places we were eyeing too, it looks awesome. How long is he going for?

Thanks for the shout out, Skylar!
Love this post!! The picture of the lake are amazing!! Such a beautiful and special place indeed!!
thanks! The company isn’t too bad either haha
Beautiful pics. Can you disclose which lake that is?
Thanks Mark! It’s a small little lake in the Sierra Nevadas called Pinecrest
Gotcha...I saw the sign when I drove home to San Diego from Tahoe this week. I'll have to stop and check it out sometime.
It gets a little crowded during the day on the weekends (folks come use it for the day), so I’d recommend off season or a weekday if you can swing it
