The flight disappearing gave me flashbacks to trying to get Era Tour tickets haha

A flying nightmare...and one reason I hate flying. We need to be able to teleport.......

It sounds very medieval to stay in a small inn/pub; maybe a little like being submerged in Game of Thrones, too. I am of course intrigued with the church photo, and wonder how old the dates are on the headstones.

I told Steph that USA airlines are now all required to automatically give monetary compensation for delays and cancellations! And they can’t use vouchers or gift cards- they must now pay you. This came out Oct 28, announced by Pete Buttigieg

I saw that! So awesome actually, much more similar to European rules. I had an air france flight that was cancelled mid flight and within a few days they sent me $700 !

That is the way it should be- very cool.

Wetherspoons! Man, I have a lot of memories in that chain of pubs, though I can't say I've ever had the 9am beer there. Maybe next time!

This activated my PTSD for similar experience to Greece- not the engine itself, put the rest of the rebooking and lost time and airport experience. Great article!

Many years ago before I became a full-time traveler, I was a flight attendant so I have more than my fair share of airplane stories! LOL. I also share an obsession with pubs and was just working on my upcoming picture post about London's theme pubs. But I'm pretty sure I'd much prefer the village ones!

oh I didn't realize that, man I bet you do! Did you write about them? I'm sure some of those would be a good read.

And now I'm eagerly awaiting pictures of pubs haha

Lucky enough to never have a flight turn around before 🤞🏼 sounds miserable, but sounds like it worked out in the end.
